The Big Day!

How fun it is to wake up on a beautiful Easter morning. With 3 kids I tried to not first think of the Easter Bunny. I quickly pictured in my mind that wonderful First Easter morning when our Savior had risen. How blessed we are to be apart of His church and to have that knowledge of His Resurrection. I am so grateful for the Atonement. As we took off to church that morning I treasured the last few moments I had to sit next to my husband during sacrament meeting. Or maybe it was the last few moments of somewhat of a peaceful sacrament meeting! As he was called to be the second counselor in the bishopric, he stood up, put his suit coat on and off he went up to the front. It has now been 2 weeks and as I ran into a member of the stake presidency after church today I did not hesitate to let him know I did not care so much for the new calling! He laughed, gave me some good encouraging words of council, and wished me luck! I just keep telling myself...THE GOSPEL IS TRUE!!!!

Whoa! Congrats to you and your family with the new calling! I know that it's probably very difficult to wrap your emotions around, but the Lord knows exactly who he needs to help serve in your ward, and you and Shaun are so spiritually strong and good people that it just makes sense. He'll do a wonderful job.
